The case involved a woman who was injured when the front façade of a building fell on top of her as she attempted to enter a store. The plaintiff alleged that the façade was newly installed onto the building structure without sufficient connections or assessment of the prior building structure. Plaintiff sustained well in excess of 1 million in medicals. Despite the difficulties present with liability and the damage exposure, HPW as able to advance critical construction legal concepts to achieve resolution for a fraction of the available insurance proceeds.
